We’ve dubbed our morning circle time “Council of Oaks” because it is a gathering of Oaks. Here are some resources we might use in November.
(Each of these links is an Amazon affiliate link that supports the work we do at Educating Oaks and in our homeschool. I have read them all, so I can recommend them. You can look for them wherever you wish, even in your local library.)
Poet: Walt Whitman (1819-1892)
A note about Whitman’s work: Especially if you are going to read Whitman from the internet instead of buying a children’s book, make sure you read the poem you have chosen all the way through so that there are no surprises when you are reading the poem with your kids. (I bet this is your standard practice, but it is more important with some poets than others, and you might not think of that.)
